1. Through google documents -
- Pros:
- Anytime you have Internet Access you can get to it.
- Cons:
- If at some point you don't have Internet access you can't locate it.
2. A Network Drive (here at Fairmont it's the U-drive) -
- Pros:
- You can access it anytime you are logged in to the network it's saved to.
- Cons:
- If you aren't connected to the network then you can't access it.
3. On the C-drive (My Documents, Desktop, etc.) -
- Pros:
- You don't have to be on the Internet to get to your documents.
- Cons:
- If or when the computer crashes, all your documents are gone!
4. USB or Jump Drive -
- Pros:
- It's inexpensive and you don't have to be connnected to the Internet to use it.
- Cons:
- They are easily lost and can break.
These are four ways to store electronic documents and why each are helpful and why each can be stressful.
